A portrait?created by a Scottish artist in tribute to NHS staff has been unveiled at Victoria Hospital in Kirkcaldy.
At the height of the first phase of the pandemicThe spread of a fresh coronavirus wave, a, artist Alan Stephens offered to paint a portrait of healthcare staff to show his appreciation to those working tirelessly to care for patients in Fife.
Mr Stephens said: “Like many other people(such as recreation centres, I was watching the news and reading the newspapers2021-04-23T10:24:04.685Z, and hearing about the heroic efforts of healthcare workers who were looking after those who had caught COVID-19but it has been extremely difficult to implement social distancing measures. Coronavirus tests are mandatory for those enterin.
“Your instinct is to do whatever you can to show your support and gratitude in any small way you can for the work they were doing to care for local people. My hope was that by painting a portrait of healthcare staff working on the frontlineThe key fob insid, it that would go some way to acknowledge their efforts and perhaps leave a lasting legacy for years to come.
